Fantasy Island – have fun with your family right next to Niagara Falls

With more than 40 attractions Fantasy Island is one of the best places for families close to Niagara Falls.

In just a few years from its opening in 1961 by Lawrence Grant to 1974, the park grew several times. The water park was added to the attractions in 1984. One of the most famous attractions Silver Comet was added in 1999. It is a roller coaster the idea of which was taken from the famous train The Comet in New York.

Тhe park has changed its owners several times and each of them renovated or added new attractions to achieve its current appearance.

Over the years, some accidents happened in the park. In 1991, a 14-year-old boy fell from a Ferris Wheel and lost his life.

Today, the park has a circus arena with 2500 seats. Other favorite places and attractions are Fairytale Forest, Gondola Wheel, Magic Ring, Iron Horses and a lot of water attractions such as Double Dare Falls, Dinosaur Pool, Dragster Drench, etc.

Furthermore, you have the opportunity to dine in the picnic area or in one of the restaurants that the park offers. There is a variety of live shows every day.

The cost of a day’s visit is $34.99 if you are tall over 48 inches or $29.99 if you are shorter. For adults over 65, the price is also $29.99.

You can also buy a pass for the whole season at a price of $79.99 (if you buy three passes there is a discount and the price is $39.99). The season pass provides unlimited visits to the Water Park and Amusement Park.

On February 29, 2020, the owner Apex Park Group explained that the park has been announced for sale and will not be open for the 2020 season. In July 2020, plans are declared for the park to be purchased by a new buyer and to open its doors for the 2021 season.
