Things to Pack in Your Travel Backpack Before Travel To Niagara Falls

5 backpacks and 6 suitcases
When you plan your trip to Niagara Falls, you need to pack the best things you can. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, there is a variety of options that you have, so you should make sure that you are choosing one that is right for you. Here is a list of the items that are most important to pack:

  • Camera – At Niagara Falls, you simply have to have a camera with you. Some of the most photographed attractions and locations in the world are housed in the city. Think about bringing a waterproof camera for photos at the bottom of the falls if you want to be extra prepared for this destination.
  • Running Shoes – To get around Niagara Falls, running shoes or comfortable walking shoes are a must. Many of the things to see are within walking distance of each other, and you don’t want to be wearing your best pair of dress shoes for everything that involves water. The same goes for hiking around Goat Island or having a Niagara Safari adventure.
  • Sunscreen – It can get very hot if you visit Niagara Falls during the summer months, and it is almost always sunny. So for yourself and the whole family, don’t neglect to pack some good sun protection.
  • Sunglasses – There is plenty of sun during the summer. And you’ll look extra cool in all the photos, of course.
  • Passport –  A must to have along when traveling. Forgoing back and forth between Canada and the U.S., a valid passport, passport card, or enhanced driver’s license is now required. A regular driver’s license on its own will no longer suffice.
  • Clothes you won’t mind getting wet – Planning on taking a ride on Maid of the Mist, North America’s oldest tourist attraction? Be ready to come out on the damp side, and come prepared with clothing which can handle some wetness.
  • Map and Guidebook – In and around the greater Niagara Falls area, there are a large number of attractions, including a number of zoos, botanical gardens, museums, historical sites, and amusement parks. Besides that, researching which restaurants you want to check out and wherever else you want to go is always good in advance. So pick up a guidebook and a map and you’re going to be totally ready to explore.
  • Cash or Credit – Both Canadian and American currencies, as well as Visa and Mastercard, are accepted almost everywhere.

During the summer, the weather is very hot and humid and during winter it can go below freezing.
