Niagara Falls is located on the border between the United States and Canada and has become a major tourist attraction for both countries. With the falling water of 51 meters and the formed clouds of drops, it is impossible to be close to the waterfalls and stay dry.

Depending on the wind, the fog of drops disperses in different directions and often tourists are unpleasantly surprised. That’s why an umbrella is a must when visiting Niagara Falls.

If you want to stay completely dry you can watch the waterfalls from both shores from the cities Niagara Falls State Park in the US and Niagara Parkway in Canada.

For most people, however, a trip to Niagara is a once in a lifetime event and it doesn’t matter if they get wet. Well, there are a lot of attractions, from which you definitely can’t get out dry. The Hornblower Niagara Cruise, the Maid of the Mist, and Journey Behind the Falls are good examples.

Some attractions even offer free raincoats (e.g. The Maid of the Mist or Journey Behind the Falls), but it is impossible to keep you completely dry when you are on a cruise and surrounded on three sides by massive waterfalls. But the view is breathtaking.

The Maid of the Mist provides a pair of flip flops so as not to wet your shoes or sneakers. Even if you have a waterproof poncho, your feet remain easily accessible for water splashes.

The Hornblower Niagara Cruise, however, offers the opportunity to stay absolutely dry if you stand in the area insulated with glass, where the water literally spills over you. Staying on the upper deck, you feel the mist like monsoon rain.

During the cruise, the boat stops for a few minutes surrounded by three waterfalls so that tourists can admire the view and take pictures. This further increases the chances of getting wet.

Of course, it also matters where you stand on the boat. People who are closer to the edge of the board are more accessible for water spray than those who move on the deck.

Watching how the waterfalls from behind the waterfall? It is possible with Journey Behind the Falls. This attraction provides amazing views after tourists go through a tunnel behind the base of the Horseshoe Falls.

In most places around the waterfalls, it is almost impossible not to get wet. But all these adventures will leave you with unforgettable memories.
