Niagara Falls is actually a collective name for three waterfalls – Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls. The waterfalls are located on the border between Canada and the United States. On the Canadian side remains the province of Ontario and on the border of the American coast is the state of New York.
Niagara Falls is located about 110 km (72 miles) from Toronto or about an hour and a half by car. Tourists can also use the bus or rent a car to reach it. There are also various travel companies that offer one-day trips from Toronto to Niagara Falls offering a variety of attractions.
Niagara Falls is not the highest fall in the world but ranks first in the volume of water that passes through it.
